Updates around the sporting world

Formula One

Jenson Button has once again clinched the vital victory at Monaco GP. Starting from pole, he had all his chances to seal the 10 points. Yet, again Brawn 1-2 with Rubens Barrichello coming 2nd.

Another torrid day for the McLarens. Lewis Hamilton, the defending champion finished 12th after starting from the back of the grid. Teammate Heikki Kovalainen had an accident which forced him to retire. Well, we need more consistency and power to win! Where's the spirit, boys?!

Lewis Hamilton from the pits at Monaco GP.

English Premier League

It's the end of the 2008/09 season. Manchester United capped a wonderful ending by Darron Gibson scoring a wonderful goal. Spectacular! Hope to see him next season as regular. The end it was 1-0 to United. However, Hull was lucky to survive the relegation battle despite losing to United. They were lucky as Newcastle and Middlesborough were the unlucky sides who lost their crucial last day match, which they badly needed 3 full points to survive. Darn unlucky! Goodbye Newcastle. From the wonderful years of Sir Bobby Robson's boys who had beaten Barcelona in the Champions League to the fall-out of the Newcastle owner, Mike Ashley, it seems all good things must come to an end. Big names clearout is expected and Championship football for a year then.

Till death do them apart from the Premier League

Roland Garros 2009 - Day 1 (24/5/2009)

No big names were playing on Day 1. Apart from that, only Andy Murray and Ana Ivanovic were the notable ones who are playing. Both got off with a good start by winning impressively.

Andy Murray beat Juan Ignacio Chela 6-2, 6-2, 6-1

Anna Ivanovic beat Sara Errani 7-6, 6-3

That's all for the update for the weekend!

Roland Garros 2009

Roland Garros 2009 is back in Paris. Will Nadal go on to win again? Will Federer be ending his barren run here? The only Grand Slam eluded from his glorious career and 1 more to match the great Pete Sampras. A week ago, Federer reduces the odd to win against Nadal on clay by beating Nadal at the Madrid Masters (Clay court). Does this mean Nadal is going weaker? (I hope so) Anyways, Federer is my bet to clinch the Roland Garros this year!

Federer in action!

Nadal with his forceful forehand return!

Great rivalries between 2 great champions!

The Roland Garros starts on the 24th of May till the Final on the 7th of June 2009. Looking forward to the finals.

Anyways, Ana Ivanovic is hot!

One down, 3 more to go

Hooray! one off the shoulder and 3 more to go. Today's paper wasn't smooth sailing but decent. Not excellent but decent. I will be shooting myself at my feet for not going through at some parts of the module which could make a lot of difference.

*Pray Pray* Oh dear god, bless me! 1% Luck 99% Perspiration

I meant what I said.

here we go!

Books are really flying!

Approximately 12 more hours to my first paper and I am here still blogging. I can't believe it has finally arrive. Am I suppose to be happy or sad? Mixed feelings as I am not totally confident of getting distinction and I am happy because it is already starting.

Books are really terrible and exams are worst.

Wish everyone best of luck and I hope for n times of LUCK!

18 and counting

did I just smell a sour vinegar-like smell around? Liverpool's fat Spanish waiter is on the rant again. Bla bla bla bla.. Reluctantly congratulating United for the famous 18th title overall in the English league history. He's not conceding defeat, that's good! But not good enough as long he's talking more crap. Gerrard was saying that this was the first time he felt the heat of title race (after a long time) What a loser! Go home! Oh where? Merseyside? Where? No one heard that before!

Old Trafford is where it belong to!

Federer v. Nadal - Madrid Masters

Federer vs. Nadal

Showdown of the top 2 players in the world. Yesterday, Nadal hard-fought to win the match against Djokovic. Thrilling match which lasted for more than 4 hours. Sad for Djokovic but it was an undeserving win for Nadal. Home ground (Madrid though he's born in Majorca). Anyways, clay king vs the great Federer today, would it be Federer's shot to kill off Nadal's clay streak?

Federer a.k.a. FedEx

Nadal

Nadal has been playing and 3 consecutive titles in the bag. HE is no doubt tired. But his physical fitness is awesome. Shots after shots, he's like beyond god like. Today, I hope for Federer's greatness to surpress the clay champion of the world!

Champione Champione Champione Ole Ole Ole

Yes, we did it again! 3 consecutive premier league title! Congratulation to the team for the wonderful season though they have been ups and downs in the season. Great job but Tevez is LEAVING as he seemed to wave to the loyal supporters in the ground as he was substituted out before the whistle.

ANYWAYS, LIVERPOOL! ARE YOU WATCHING? TOO BAD!!!!!! YOU SHITES! TALK SO MUCH S*** AND YOU ARE REALLY S***!!!

The Premier League trophy with the team

Fergie with his 11th title and United's 18th

Liverpool, you are really crap!

Are you looking over from Merseyside? Lol.

one step closer

Final week of lectures means the final week for my undergraduate lectures!!!! Oh my... what a time to end it and how fast can you imagine. This also means EXAM IS VERY NEAR!

First stop, 21st May - Variable Speed Drives. Then, 26th May - Control Systems II. Thirdly, 3rd June - Sensors and Instrumentation and FINALLY, on the 9th June - Tools and Techniques for Enterprise. WOOOOOHOOOO!!!

BUT!

NOTHING IS DONE ON REVISION!!!!!!!!

:(

Another thing which is coming to an end, the English Premier League and the Champions League. Usual suspect, Manchester United is on course to retaining both titles in coming weeks.

The Premier League trophy

The Champions League trophy

Can we do it again? YES WE CAN!

Wishing everyone the best of luck!!

Look, who's going to Rome!

OOh yeah! Well done, United! Bravo for making it thru to the Finals in Rome again, but not against Chelsea (last year) but Barcelona (nemesis of the last year's semi-final). Gave Arsenal a thrashing of 3-0 ( 4-0 on aggregate). Look who's coming Pep!

Anyways, I will be going to Rome as well as my 1st destination after exams. The list of places is virtually (maybe realistically) infinite. Sorry to all readers for not updating much.

Jailed for assignments, final year project, and EXAMS! The sentence was harsh but forgiven.

Knowing that time really flies if you don't appreciate every single second, I was able to carve out some time for tennis over the last week (not this week). Decided to make a deal with my dad for a new racket (for me Birthday) Hehe.. At last, I have got one through the web. (Milletsports.co.uk). View below for the full snapshot of the racket. (Courtesy of Tennis-Warehouse.com)

Wilson K Factor KPro Open Racquets

Pretty much of what I have done the last few weeks. Revised deadlines as follows:
1)Viva Voce (Project Presentation) - 8 May 2009
2) Final year project report - 14 May 2009

I need the luck, all the perseverance I had put in should be included into the equation!! (Hopeful)

everything must come to an end

Easter holiday is coming to an end in 4 days time. Malaysian Night is just 3 days away. I felt that I have just finish producing the Malaysian Night with the rest like just a couple of days ago. You know what, I think I am laging behind time. Time is catching up! My god.. can it be slowed down?

Exam time table is out as well. Prefer this time table than the last one. Starts on the 21st May and ends on the 9th June. Each paper per week. 4 papers. BUT nothing is ready!!!!

*Screaming out*!

Monday, April 13, 2009

what about today

Easter holiday is coming to end precisely in a week. Time do really flies. What have I done?

1) almost 60% of project work
2) none of the 2 coursework
3) gym (almost constantly)
4) Study and revise (a little skeptical about it)
5)

See, I don't even know what I have done. Nothing much instead of slacking around the clock.

P/s: purpose of this post: meet up the quota of post per month

No.6

Have you ever thought you would see all of them succeed in your lifetime? Some had ups and downs in their career. Some might not be able to reach the peak of their career or some might just be an average person throughout.

A couple of days ago, our 5th Prime Minister, Tun Abdullah Badawi had stepped aside to make way for the always-expected, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak (son of the 2nd Prime Minister Tun Abdul Razak). Congratulation to the man and kudos to Tun Abdullah for his civil service to the people of Malaysia since the 70s.

Ever wonder, the likes of Tunku Abdul Rahman, Tun Abdul Razak, Tun Hussein Onn and Tun Dr. Mahathir would emerge again in the future. There you go, we have one now, who is in the mold of his very own father. Datuk Seri Najib has never thought that he would take over as the leader of the country. But I would always thought otherwise. Being the son of the ex-PM, why would not he thought so? Watch the future, the cycle has repeat itself. Tun Abdul Razak son is now starting the cycle. What about the likes of Datuk Seri Hishamuddin Tun Hussein? Mukhriz Tun Mahathir?

Tun Abdul Razak was the Father of Development. Najib? Father of Development 2? Get ready Malaysia. We could witness the new development of Malaysia towards achieving Vision 2020. Malaysia - A Developed Country. I came across on Wikipedia on one fine day. I found out that Malaysia is bidding to host the 2020 Olympic Games. Can we do it, Najib? The country is counting on you to get the bid.

Negative reactions on the current government has been looming for over a year since the 2008 general election. Malaysia is a land of full potential. We want to see it prosper to its highest level which benefits everyone in Malaysia. Datuk Seri Najib has got a lot to do once stepping into Putrajaya on the Monday morning. Drafting plans for the future of everyone in Malaysia. We are counting on you, Mr PM! We want to see the anticipated change to the current government.

Congratulation again to Datuk Seri Najib on his appointed as the new Premier of Malaysia!

something new

ah! My previous post was to channel my anger to.

Anyway, I have found something new to do!

TENNIS

Why haven't my dad taught me tennis since young. I find it much more fun now! I missed out a lot on what I could do when I was young. I could have been playing tennis every day with my dad. But now, this what I am picking up from scratch (I guess, it's still not too late).

Played a couple of times in Sportcity Manchester, getting hold on the racket, movement, etc etc.. It's hard though as I played badminton my whole life. wrist movement is wrong in tennis. Swing your arms! Oh my, that's got to be tough for a amateur like me. Very well, it's not too old to do something new!

Can I be like him?

Haha, thats a joke! Nah, I would be satisfied if I could play a decent tennis game.

too much

Oh gosh.. its already the 3rd month of the year!!

it's all about too much!!!

too much of work
too much to think about
too much of food
too much of cabs
too much of stupid things
too much of crazy things
too much of books
too much of words
too much of papers
too much of shit!

and it is always because of TOO LITTLE TIME!!!!!!!!

Things Just Fallin' Off

This morning as I was buttoning my shirt, a button fell off. After that, I picked up my briefcase, and the handle fell off. Then I went to open the door, and the doorknob fell off. I went to get into my car, and the door handle came off in my hand. Now I'm afraid to pee.
